I bought this one and the seladon chawan for a birthday party with my twin brother. He is not so keen on green tea (yet), but it turned out that wine from Bordeaux looks amazing in a woodfired shino bowl. Seladon, on the other hand, goes very well with shimmering Riesling :)

Marcus's work in these shino cups is at once both muscular and nuanced. Handling the cups is a kaleidoscope of sensations: the handle molds to the fingers, and it and the lip of the cup are glazed to caress the lips.
