A set of 4 sake/teacups

Hand-carved from Japanese black clay, each cup is shaped using the traditional Japanese kurinuki technique, where the form is revealed by carving away the clay from a solid piece.

An impressed pattern adorns the exterior of each cup, while the interior is carefully carved by hand. This is a slow, considered process, allowing each cup to develop its own character and subtle differences.

No two cups are exactly alike, yet together they share a common spirit — four individual forms connected through the same clay, technique, and making process.

A set made to be held, used, and enjoyed, whether for sake or tea.
