Chawan

Crafted with care using a blend of Japanese and Taiwanese clays, this chawan embodies a meeting of two ceramic traditions. Glazed primarily with natural pine ash and fired to bring out subtle earthy tones, the surface of the bowl is rich with warm, and organic textures. 

The foot ring is hand-carved, enhancing the tactile, handmade feel of the piece. Measuring approximately 10 cm in height and 11 cm in width, this tea bowl sits comfortably in the hands—perfect for mindful tea moments.

Each mark, drip, and variation is intentional and tells the story of fire, ash, and form. A celebration of wabi-sabi, this chawan is to be used and enjoyed.
