Handmade Wood-Fired Tea Bowl

This tea bowl was crafted from porcelain clay and finished with a clear glaze. Before firing, the surface was etched while the clay was still leather hard, leaving marks that show the hand of the maker.

It spent four days in a wood-fired kiln, where flame, ash, and atmosphere shaped the surface. During the firing, copper circulated through the kiln and settled on this bowl, giving it a soft purple hue in places. The combination of etched lines, ash deposits, and copper blush makes this piece truly individual.
