Chawan

This wheel-thrown tea bowl was made in my small pottery workshop in Taiwan. My workshop looks over the Yamingshan mountains which are a constant source of inspiration.
I used Japanese porcelain clay and applied a deep blue glaze that reveals its beautiful colors in the sunshine.
While wet I made an indentation that adds to the comfort of holding the tea bowl.
