Vase

I made this vase using Taiwanese clay. While the clay was still soft, I impressed lines into the surface, which later interacted beautifully with the wood ash during the firing. The ash left natural patterns and textures that make this piece unique.

I believe in the beauty of imperfection, inspired by the Japanese idea of wabi-sabi—finding charm in things that are natural, imperfect, and unrepeatable. I try to bring this feeling into my pottery, and this vase is a reflection of that.

It would add a quiet, handmade presence to any home.
